Is Morata Chelsea's Only Answer To Striker Question

Real Madrid have confirmed their initial travelling party for their preseason preparations in the United States this summer, with reported Chelsea target Alvaro Morata included but club captain Sergio Ramos staying behind for now.

Previous reports had linked Morata with a high-profile move to Manchester United. According to The Guardian, Swansea City has stuck one million £50 notes on the head of Gylfi Sigurdsson. When Real initiated the buy-back option on Morata from Juventus last summer, Chelsea were one of the clubs touted as a potential destination for the expected quick sale.

"I feel indebted to him because he's the coach that most trusted in me, most wanted me, who made me feel I could perform at the highest level", Morata told the newspaper in April.

In Michy Batshuayi and Morata, Chelsea could line-up to start the season with two of world football's hottest young strikers, both with remarkable strike rates and chomping at the bit to finally get their chance to become their team's talisman.

According to Sky Sports News HQ, Morata is keen to move to the English Premier League having previously attracted interest from United.

The Times and The Daily Mail say United is willing to offer 40 million pounds - matching Monaco's valuation - rather than the 35-million pound Chelsea bid for the 22-year-old.

The beINSports reporter has taken to Twitter to shed light on Chelsea's pursuit of the Spain international in the summer transfer window.

Morata's agent, Juanma Lopez, and his father, Alfonso Morata, met with Real officials last Monday to discuss the future of the 24-year-old.

Manchester United will sign Ivan Perisic in the next few days after the Premier League giant and Inter Milan moved closer towards agreeing a fee.

The west London side lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
