"So we had to make due with the timing that was appropriate for the company.the company makes the decisions, so unfortunately sometimes it is out of my control". It's up to Sora and friends to help defend the world. "And so after, perhaps, maybe we can start thinking about other possibilities".

By changing the game from using an internal engine to the largely-used Unreal 4 engine, it meant that the studio had to rebuild its assets and ideas ultimately for a better product, and it shows - especially from what we saw at D23.

The Kingdom Hearts series is a unique partnership between Disney and Square Enix.

Disney held their annual D23 Expo where they unveil new movies, individual properties and even some KINGDOM HEARTS III screens and footage. As always, however, we'll be sure to update this post and let you know should Nemura or Square Enix announce anything else regarding a Nintendo Switch version of Kingdom Hearts III.

As per reveals during the event, Kingdom Hearts III will feature all new worlds including Toy Story, seeing Square Enix and Pixar working in tandem for the first time. Of course, the director won't be hiding any worlds from fans, will he?

"Kingdom Hearts 3" will come nearly 13 years since the second installment in the video game series was released. Kingdom Hearts III has no official release date.

It's unclear if that means the console could actually run the game or if it's just something that will be looked into after they get the Xbox One/PS4 versions out the door. "So for now, we want to focus on what platforms we've already announced we're going to be releasing Kingdom Hearts 3 on". Check out the trailer below.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is, at long last, scheduled to be released in 2018.
