Head coach Ben McAdoo said he spoke with Rodgers-Cromartie on Tuesday, and that Rodgers-Cromartie was at the team's facility on Wednesday morning and attended team meetings and later decided to leave.

"DRC came in yesterday, we had a conversation that was personal upstairs", McAdoo said. There was no apparent physical altercation.

Linebacker Jonathan Casillas (neck), running back Paul Perkins (ribs), center Weston Richburg (concussion) and defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle) were all at practice, but did not appear to be participating during the period open to reporters.

Rodgers-Cromartie, who had started three games, reported to the Giants' headquarters Wednesday morning and then left. That is a violation of team rules.

"I wouldn't say [Rodgers-Cromartie] left the team", Collins said.
