Bannon left the White House last summer and returned to his position as executive chairman at Breitbart News, but reports indicated he had fallen out of favor with wealthy conservative backers as his comments in Wolff's book surfaced.
"I'm proud of what the Breitbart team has accomplished in so short a period of time in building a world-class news platform", Bannon, who had served as executive chairman, said Tuesday in a statement.
"In private conversations since leaving the White House, Bannon said Trump only has a 30 percent chance of serving out his term, whether he's impeached or removed by the Cabinet invoking the 25th amendment". When Breitbart died of a heart condition months later, Bannon took over the operation. White House spokesman Sarah Sanders said earlier in the week that the book includes "mistake after mistake after mistake".
Bannon's public roasting isn't just fun.
Some of Trump's mercurial tweets have caused deep offense, notably in November when British lawmakers reacted furiously to President Trump's retweeting of anti-Muslim videos initially posted by a far-right British activist who had been convicted of hate speech.
Consequently, the debate has circled back to the question of his mental health and his ability to discharge the duties of his office. "I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius ... and a very stable genius at that!" One of the Breitbart's chief owners, Rebekah Mercer, has been a financial backer of the president in the last year and a half. And forecasters warn that more rain is coming.
He continued, "I hear through the grapevine that Katie Walsh's job is at issue now, and - which I regret".

In another quote from the book attributed to Bannon, he predicted authorities would get Don Jr. The document did not address how to answer questions about Trump's fitness for office.
"You can imagine a lawsuit against WikiLeaks for inducing infringement or contributing to infringement", said Eugene Volokh, a professor at the University of California at Los Angeles who has taught copyright law. "He's like a pinball, just shooting off the sides".
Bannon, a former investment banker and Hollywood filmmaker, will work with Breitbart on a smooth and orderly transition, the site said. But he was still able to successfully sell himself as a "right-wing mastermind" for a long time. There are no fractures.
-On CBS's "Face The Nation", CIA director Mike Pompeo praised the president's mental state. But it's up to the reader to decide.
Second, because Bannon's arrogance after last November was a mirror image of our despair.
Bannon has been under scrutiny recently-well, under more scrutiny than usual-thanks to journalist Michael Wolff's new book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. I want them to talk about racism every day. "Bannon has a proven record of becoming more powerful the more 'outsider' he is".
Bannon stumped for unsuccessful Senate candidate Roy Moore in Alabama despite the sexual misconduct allegations against Moore. According to John Sargent, CEO of Holt parent company Macmillan, digital sales already top 250,000 copies, an extraordinary number for a nonfiction release and likely boosted by the scarcity of the hardcover edition.
