Real Madrid could make shock £100m bid for Courtois

With Real Madrid's season deteriorating over time, club president Florentino Perez is planning to orchestrate a big spending spree with Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois on the agenda alongside several big names.

Chelsea's 2018 has gone from bad to worse today, after manager Antonio Conte admitted he doesn't know how long star striker Alvaro Morata will be out of action.

"If you ask if me he needs one month, one day, two months, the rest of the season, I don't know". "But I do not pay much attention to that, I stay focused on Chelsea". One of the most simple is playing a firm defensive line - usually five men - across the top of the box. I remember 10 years ago, when he first spoke about me, it was incredible. One of the many pitfalls of not having a true centre-forward and instead using Eden Hazard as a false-nine is not having the one player to take the final touch.

Real Madrid will have to spend a lot of money to bring him to Santiago Bernabéu, but that should not be a problem because they have the financial muscle to go after anyone they want.

Hazard: What happens is that we won last season and now people want us to win again.

Premier League top-four contenders Liverpool seem to have identified the replacement for Philippe Coutinho who moved to Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

With Luis Enrique reportedly lined up to be appointed in the summer, the former Watford boss would only be keeping the hot seat warm until May, but it would be a welcome opportunity to restore his damaged reputation.

The 27-year-old has regularly been touted as a possible transfer target for Real Madrid, although it remains to be seen whether that is anything more than pure speculation at this stage.

The voters for the award consist of a number of Belgian journalists, football personalities and former winners.

"I understand that the rumours are coming back today, as we are talking about a new goalkeeper there [at Real]", the Belgian said.
